Summary of Position
Complete all administrative and supervisory tasks associated with operating the counseling center’s pre-doctoral internship program and postdoctoral fellowship program. Assist the director in the daily administration, management, and oversite within the counseling center. Provide individual and group psychotherapy, crisis and emergency on-call, case management, campus outreach, consultation and supervision/training/support of doctoral interns and postdoctoral fellows. Provide emergency on call coverage and back-up to all staff, including after hours as needed, including facilitating emergency management.

Other minimum qualifications
Doctorate in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, or equivalent, including a supervised internship and five years of experience in the mental health field. Three years of experience in the training and supervision of graduate students in psychology and demonstrated ability in administration. Five years clinical, consultative, and administrative supervising. Eligibility for licensure as a psychologist in New Hampshire. Demonstrated experience and proficiency in providing culturally competent care for individuals with diverse identities.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Preference is for seven years post licensure experience as a psychologist as well as strengths in crisis and case management. Expertise in psychotherapy and clinical supervision. Demonstrated leadership in the field of psychology. Ability to consult around mental health issues with students, faculty and staff.

Duty/Responsibility
Complete all administrative and supervisory tasks associated with operating the counseling center’s pre-doctoral internship program and postdoctoral fellowship program. When appropriate provide administrative oversite for the MSW internship. Collaborate with director to support staff development (e.g., best practices in clinical supervision).
Duty/Responsibility
Provide psychotherapy to students individually, as couples and/or in groups in person and via telehealth. Provide intakes, walk-in and emergency appointments. Diagnose students using current nationally and internationally recognized diagnostic systems, utilizing appropriate empirically validated psychological instruments and/or techniques. As a function of diagnosis, develop and implement treatment plans based upon evidence-based practices in the field of mental health. Screen clients for mental health disorders and refer for psychiatric evaluation, specialized treatment, and/or long-term therapy as appropriate. Maintain files to document counseling contacts. Provide clinical services in accordance with New Hampshire law and adhere to the Ethical Principles of your profession. Are knowledgeable about and provide services consistent with current professional and ethical standards and local, state and federal laws governing the practice of counseling.
Provide back up to emergency coverage. Facilitate records releases. Make calls to clarify student interest in treatment for frequent cancellation or no-show clients.
Duty/Responsibility
Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team. Assist in Health & Wellness Integration leadership team. Serve on committees both within the counseling center and in the greater university as assigned. Maintain awareness of best practices, ethics, mental health law in New Hampshire, emerging trends and new legislation. Provide administrative support to the counseling center director.

Provide outreach programming services for the campus community. Conduct workshops and programs designed to address the needs and/or concerns of students, faculty and staff. Serve as consultant to faculty, staff and students on matters relating to the well-being of students, and to other programs.
